Yellowstone National Park, WY The temperature was minus twenty degrees and the scene was perfect as I drove by. However getting the Eagle to stay put while trekking back on foot was a challenge. The key is to never look at the bird, for she can see sharply for over a mile away. If the bird felt comfortable and invisible then it would be possible to capture her in the scene. As I made my way up to the perfect spot, she was still calm and allowed me to stay and make her immortal, and when she flew I clicked the shutter button.
