Yellowstone National Park, WY Wildlife Photography is combination of camera skills, knowledge of animal behavior and habitats and a little bit of luck and a lot of time outside. When I spotted this Coyote in the forest, I decided to get ahead of her by traveling in far ahead of the direction she was traveling until I found a great backdrop to photograph her in front of. Near by, White Dome Geyser sits a few hundred yards off the road and I set up the camera low in the snow and waited for the canine to arrive. The skill part was anticipating her to walk into the scene with the geyser, the luck was having the geyser erupt while she walked through the sceene.
